Looking for a new spot to try? Maybe a new wine to taste? Consider Brix Tasting Room located at 111 W. 6th Street in Michigan City.
This quaint wine tasting room is owned and operated by husband and wife team Tyler and Tamara Gonder. Tyler and Tamara wanted to introduce wine tasting in a casual atmosphere where guests won’t feel intimidated.
On our visit, Tyler poured several of his favorites and they did not disappoint. He talked about each wine and suggested pairings along with other varieties he thought we might like. Tyler’s love for wine and the dunes area came through as he casually chatted with us, while attentively taking care of all his customers.
Brix has a menu of 40+ rotating wines, beer and ciders. You are able to do a tasting or get a full glass. Consider pairing your wine with their charcuterie plate which has a large selection of meats, cheeses, candied nuts and warm baked bread. Brix also has a variety of salads and flatbreads.
The tasting room is currently open Wednesday through Sunday. Be sure to check their facebook page for hours as well as specials and events.
