Dablon is on one of the highest points in Baroda
Traveling to the Michigan wineries can be a little daunting these days. There are so many to choose from, and only so many glasses of wine one can drink! So, let us take you away to Dablon Winery today. The tasting room can be seen from the road as it sits atop one of the highest points in Baroda like a castle, welcoming you to come in and try what they have to offer. Just 5 miles off of Dunes Hwy. 12 when taking the Bridgman exit, this winery offers exceptional wine, a lovely, upscale atmosphere and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff.
The tasting room is upscale, yet friendly. The staff are very knowledgeable
Their Story
Dablon started in 2009 when they purchased 44 acres of land and started producing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Since then, they have continued planting new vines each year. By 2015 they had acquired many additional acres, opened their tasting room and branched out with several new varietals. Their location is ideal for growing several different styles of wine because they are on one of the highest spots, as well as their proximity to Lake Michigan.
Their Wines
At Dablon you will find many dry wines, although they do offer some sweet ones. Their unoaked Chardonnay was delicious and did not have that buttery taste many associate with a chardonnay. They are very proud of their 100% Malbec, that many would not expect to find along the shores of Lake Michigan. Others that stood out were the dry rosé, the cab-franc blend and the seyval-blanc for a sweeter choice.
At Dablon you can taste 6 wines of your choice for $12 or you can relax in the tasting room or out on the patio with a glass or bottle. They also offer some light bites including a cheese plate.

Their Club, Events and a little bit more.
Dablon has a wine club available. Members receive access to many of the small batch wines, receive many discounts, 1/2 off wine tastings and exclusive invitations to wine club events. There is no joining fee, they just ask that you purchase 6 bottles at $124 twice a year.
They also offer several fun events like wine dinners, movie nights, and live entertainment on weekends. An event space is available, but they do shy away from bachelorette parties and rowdy groups. They want everyone to have a good experience when they come to visit.
And coming soon… you will really be able to escape to Dablon! They are hoping to have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house right on the vineyard available for rent this summer.
Mindy and Mike are regulars and wine club members.
