Dear Dig the Dunes,
I wanted to write to let you know how much your website helped me plan my beach weekend in the dunes!
I have visited relatives in the area before, but this was the first time I needed to plan it on my own. By looking at posts and your directory, along with your facebook and instagram pages, I was able to plan the perfect itinerary.
I decided to stay Michigan City, because I really wanted to attend Jammin with Save the Dunes. I chose Second Wind Beach House in Sheridan Beach, after reviewing it your directory. Located right on the beach and walking distance to Washington Park, it was the perfect location.
We arrived on Friday night and went straight to the Uptown Arts District for First Friday. We stopped in several stores we read about, including Beach Bum Jewels (where we noticed Dig the Dunes merch!), Patina Vintage Goods (where we tried some Zorn beer!) and SFC Gallery where we purchased enjoyed an artist’s gallery opening. We then popped into Chickpea Fresh Mediterranean and grabbed some food to take back to the house. The house was awesome! Vintage cottage and felt so homey. It had a great deck that looked right out onto the dunes and an open living  room with a great view. There were three bedrooms, so we were able to invite my aunt, uncle and their daughter to join us.
Saturday was the best day. Why? Because I got engaged! After looking at your trail page, I decided that Mt. Baldy was where i needed to go! We drove out and found the perfect lookout spot. I felt like I was there before from your photos. You helped me create a memory that I will never forget.

We spent the day with family and friends at Jammin, and I felt like I already knew some of the bands and the breweries from reading all about them. None of them disappointed and it made our day even more special. We can’t wait til next year!
Each morning we hit Lakeshore coffee and then took a walk on the beach and to the Lighthouse. We also tried Cool Runnings (authentic Jamaican) while we were there. All just a short drive or within walking distance from our house.
Again, thanks so much for all you do. You made our weekend perfect and everything was so easy! Keep up the good work!
