As a coach and tutor, I have the unique opportunity to guide young people to manage themselves effectively by providing tools, strategies, and mentoring that lead to a lifetime of success. I hold a Master's Degree in Special Education from Valparaiso University with over 25 years in the field. Additionally, I am a trained Wilson Reading Provider as well as an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider. I work with students, providing exceptional coaching and tutoring services that are catered specifically to their needs.
I tutor children in Kindergarten through Middle School with a specific expertise in the area of teaching reading to struggling readers. I employ the The Orton-Gillingham Approach which is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals.
Additionally, I offer Academic coaching for high school and middle school students with ADHD or Executive Function deficits such as organization, time management, and study skills.
