Mac is Back and Cheesier than Ever.

The Dig the Dunes Mac & Cheese Fest returns to the block outside Zorn Brew Works this September after a one year break. The fest, now in its fifth year, proves to be one of the most popular events in Michigan City and the dunes area.

This year, Dig the Dunes welcomes past winners Zorn Brew Works and Momma Sue's Catering. You'll also find many mac & cheese regulars as well as several new comers. The current list includes over ten vendors:

Brewery Lodge Cool Runnings The Dogg House

Joe & Freddy's Leeds Public House Mamacita's The Red Door Modern Midwest Cuisine Momma Sue's Catering Patrick's Grille Zorn Brew Works

Along with Mac & Cheese you'll find additional vendors, live music (Johnny V and The Sofa Kings), several cash bars, a VIP area at the beautiful Barrelhouse the Venue, and a Kid's Zone complete with face painting and balloons. (More is being added daily).

"People love buying their ticket and getting a punch card when they enter, " said Dig the Dunes founder, Eve Wierzbicki, "All the mac and cheese samples are included. No one leaves hungry, that's for sure."

Wierzbicki added, "this year it's all about the people. We will have several categories and they can vote for all their favorites."

Dig the Dunes plans to donate part of the proceeds to a non-profit (still undecided, but should be announced soon.)

You can purchase your tickets right here. General admission is $30, VIP is $55 and Kids under 15 or those that want just (4) samples can grab a ticket for $20. There is also the opportunity to sponsor the fest. The cost is $250 and you will get 10 tickets included with that.

Mac & Cheese Fest will take place on Sunday, September 24th. VIP entry is at noon and GA at 1 pm. The fest will take place outside Zorn Brew Works 605 E 9th Street Michigan City, IN 46360.

Dig the Dunes is still looking for different kinds of vendors. Have a fun idea? Send it to info@digthedunes.com.
