When you walk into Over Yonder Dunes Gift Shop (located at 12 E. Dunes Hwy. in Beverly Shores), you are welcomed with an abundance of dunes merchandise. You'll find apparel, jewelry, candles, soaps, pottery, artwork -- everywhere you look there is something for someone. It's a shop unique to the region and if you go, you'll want to go back.
The shop is owned by Jenifer Krizmanik, who puts her heart and soul into everything she does there. She's created a part co-operative makers market & part curated vintage. As the Over Yonder facebook page says, "The Makers Market showcases local, talented artists and craftspeople. It gives small-production creatives a place to shine, sell and profit." The co-op aspect of the shop makes it unique, as many of the makers also work behind the counter. This allows them to become familiar with the shop and all the merchandise, not just their own. As a guest, when you enter you are greeted with a warm smile by many different faces, but all are people who really care about the business.
We wrote about Over Yonder when they first opened a couple years back, but as the summer season approaches, we felt it was time to highlight them again. The shop continues to grow and they now have over 20 makers. Over Yonder has added another room and it's filled to the brim with treasures.
