Brew at the Zoo is Back in Michigan City.

Washington Park Zoo in Michigan City is bringing back Brew at the Zoo on Saturday, June 3 from 5-8pm.

This fundraiser put on by the Michigan City Zoological Society raises money to help care for the animals. Your ticket includes entrance to the zoo, live music, hotdogs, chips, water, pop, a souvenir tasting cup and all the beer you can drink! You must be 21 to attend, ID will be required at the door.

This unique event celebrates the zoo which opened in 1925 when a retired animal trainer moved his pet Brown Bear named "Jake" to the Washington Park lakefront. Since then it has continued to grow and is a family favorite for both locals and tourists.

Brew at the Zoo allows you to explore the zoo as an adult. You can visit the animals while sipping on your favorite brew. There are lots of different breweries to visit and don't forget to stop at the concession stand for a bite to eat. (all included in your ticket).

The Michigan City Zoological Society, Inc. is an independent volunteer nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to seek the involvement of the community through financial and in-kind support, for the Washington Park Zoo.
