Meet Heather Wood: Owner of The Big Spoon Shoppe

Heather Wood, the owner of The Big Spoon Shoppe, is both a dedicated teacher and a small business entrepreneur. With a lifelong passion for art, she initially pursued an art degree in college before ultimately switching her major to education. Following the Covid pandemic, Heather discovered a way to blend her artistic talents with her business, allowing her to teach individuals of all ages how to create their own masterpieces.

Unique Offerings at The Big Spoon Shoppe

The Big Spoon Shoppe features an exquisite selection of custom, luxury candles. Each collection is meticulously hand-painted and crafted by Heather, transforming the concept of art beyond traditional canvases. Every item is one-of-a-kind, ensuring that no two pieces are alike.

In addition to her candle creations, the shoppe provides engaging candle pouring classes along with various art workshops. During the candle-making workshops, participants can decorate the exterior of concrete vessels, which Heather handcrafts. They can embellish these vessels with glitter and learn the technique of gilding with gold or silver metals. Afterward, attendees fill their candle vessels with coconut soy wax and choose from a delightful range of luxury fragrances, all free from parabens, phthalates, and toxins.

Beyond candle making, Heather also offers a variety of creative workshops, including block printmaking, journaling, and activities that encourage participants to reconnect with their inner child through art.
